Chris Newbery BSc (Hons)

Neurological Physiotherapist

Chris is a Neurological Physiotherapist who graduated with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in 2010. Chris has worked at NHS Trusts in North Lincolnshire and Sheffield before moving to live and work in York.

Chris has gained extensive experience working in neurological rehabilitation within both private and public sectors and works as Team Leader for Stroke and Neurological therapy services in York alongside his role with MOTIONrehab. Chris’ experience includes, but is not limited to Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Spinal Injuries and Stroke

Chris’ passion is for working with patients towards achieving their own personal therapy goals, empowering them to take ownership of their health and therapy where possible, whilst integrating the most up to date evidence based research into his treatment.

Chris has a special interest in the use of functional exercise in the treatment of a wide range of Neurological conditions, and applies these principles through working in both clinics and community settings.
