Claire Harmer graduated from Northumbria University with an MSc in Pre Registration Physiotherapy. She went on to work within the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, where she gained a wide range of experience in areas such as Medical Elderly and Acute Inpatient wards, Neurosurgery, Intensive Care, Acute Stroke and Neurology and Community Rehabilitation.
Claire Harmer then specialised as a Senior Physiotherapist within the Hull Community Stroke Team, before commencing her post as a Neurological Physiotherapist at MOTIONrehab. She has a special interest in the treatment and management within Stroke Rehabilitation, as well as exercise therapy within a gym setting.
She also treats conditions such as Acquired Brain Injury, Balance and Coordination problems, Cerebellar Ataxia, Dyspraxia, Epilepsy, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Poly Trauma, Spinal Injury, Transverse Myelitis and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Claire is based at the MOTIONrehab’s Hull clinic and community settings around Hull and East Yorkshire. She also undertakes occasional work as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, as well as Case Manager work on behalf of a health insurance company.
