Heather graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) Sports Science. Following this, Heather spent a period of time gaining extensive experience in both the fitness industry and working alongside Leeds Rhinos & Yorkshire Carnegie. Heather then completed her Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at Leeds Beckett University.
Heather has gained a vast amount of experience across a range of different specialities within the NHS including the Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, Acute Stroke & Neurological Services, Intensive care and complex medical elderly units. She has worked with people with a wide range of conditions including but not limited to, Traumatic brain injuries, Cerebral Palsy, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Parkinson Disease, Multiple Sclerosis & Motor Neuron disease.
Heather is passionate about health and fitness and plays netball at regional level which translates into her therapy practice. Heather uses a combination of hands on therapy, functional activity and Pilates based exercises. Heather has a special interest in balance rehabilitation and thoroughly enjoys supporting her clients to achieve their goals whatever they may be!
Julie Forshaw, BA (hons.) MA (Eng.) MA (Psych)
Administration & Reception Manager
Julie graduated with an MA from Leeds University and an MA from Leeds Metropolitan University as a mature student in 1996. Since then she has worked in various health and wellbeing advisory roles, including emotional and mental health, in primary, secondary and special education. She also worked as a child protection and safeguarding officer. Since retiring from education in 2016 she has worked in administration and reception at Leeds University and recently has become our new administration and reception manager at the MOTIONrehab clinic.
