Therapeutic Exercise Instructor

Vicki Watson graduated in Sport, Health, Exercise and Nutrition from Leeds University and went on to work in leisure specialising in exercise for special clinical populations. Vicki then qualified in Exercise for the Prevention of Falls (PSI) with Later Life Training and began working with Parkinson’s UK delivering exercise classes to their members. Further experience within York and North Yorkshire Primary Care Trust and falls rehabilitation with Age UK led Vicki out into the community working with both individuals and instructing group exercise both on land and in water incorporating Poolates (Pilates in the water).

Vicki went on to qualify to teach Pulmonary Rehabilitation in the Community, Escape Pain for the management of Osteoarthritis and Exercise after Stroke and is now a specialist instructor for people with Long Term Neurological Conditions.

She works with MOTIONrehab®, Brimhams Active Healthy Lifestyles Program, Harrogate Hospital Physiotherapy Department, Parkinson’s UK and North Yorkshire Sport to deliver safe, appropriate individual and group exercise to clients with a range of conditions including Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Functional Movement Disorder, Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy (PSP), Pulmonary Conditions, Acquired Brain Injury including Stroke, Guillain Barre Syndrome, MND and those at risk of Trips and Falls.

Vicki is based at our MOTIONrehab® Harrogate clinic.
