In June 2025, my husband suffered an ischemic stroke, leaving him paralysed on his right side, requiring a three-month stay in hospital. With a long waiting list for therapists’ post-hospital discharge, I was advised to contact a local therapist, Helen, to continue with the exercises my husband had practised in hospital. Helen also suggested looking at Motion Rehab based in Hull to springboard his recovery.

The literature on Motion Rehab was very informative, and my husband felt encouraged to ring the company. He was offered an induction day, and after being so impressed, he booked the 10-week programme, which culminates in a few weeks. Those weeks with Motion Rehab have proved transformative for him. All the therapists at Motion Rehab are motivational, caring and encouraging in their one-to-one sessions with call clients. Physiotherapy is part of the programme, as is the use of robotics, which adds a fun element to the challenges of repetitive movement training.

As my husband became more mobile, my questions about what measures we could implement at home were answered clearly and beneficially. My husband always felt comfortable approaching any member of staff to ask for advice and help, and I received the same consideration when I sought support.

Motion Rehab is an amazing company offering first-rate experiential therapeutic skills and using excellent robotic devices. That combination has enabled my husband to improve his mobility and maintain an upbeat mental attitude to his recuperation and ongoing journey. Coming to Motion Rehab has definitely advanced my husband’s recovery beyond his expectations, and we are both truly grateful.

Amazing service – I have had vertigo following falling on a wet floor and found the NHS very dismissive. Libby was brilliant, spent the full 90 minutes doing exercises to see what the issues were, showing me what exercises to do at home etc. Most importantly she did say it was imperitive to deal with vertigo relatively quickly so it didn’t continue long term, contrary to what the doctors said.

I had assumed the initial visit would be purely an intro visit but she did everything which needed doing at this visit and sent me a comprehensive email summary with a list of exercises and links to youtube for these exercises which was useful as sometimes it is hard to remember how to do gym or physio exercises when you get home. I am so glad my partner found this place and would thoroughly recommend it. I wanted to leave a review in case anybody else was looking for help with vertigo. I am now back at work and very relieved!

I have been seeing Paige for around six months now at Motion Rehab, and I can confidently say that she is the best physiotherapist that I have worked with in my 20 years of living with progressive multiple sclerosis. Being wheelchair-bound, I needed a tailored approach, and she truly delivered.

She took the time to take a detailed history of my illness and the progression of my disability, demonstrating an impressive depth of knowledge about physiotherapy specifically for multiple sclerosis. From that, she carefully designed a combined clinic and home exercise routine, including stretching, strengthening, and aerobic exercises. She provided me with material relating to the best evidence-based exercise programme for multiple sclerosis. She also helped me to source relevant equipment such as a standing frame and a power assisted cycle for my home use and wrote detailed and persuasive letters to my insurance company in support of the finance of such equipment for my medical condition.

Paige is always cheerful, and I look forward to our regular weekly sessions. Her approach is thoughtful and effective, focusing on preventing further decline while also aiming to improve my mobility where possible. Thanks to her guidance, I feel more confident and supported in managing my condition.

Libby has a patient and encouraging manner and helps me to do things I would not ordinarily do or have the confidence to try by myself.

I have not personally met Helga so can only go by what I am told by Mike, but I have interacted with Helga through phone calls and emails.  She is an amazing physiotherapist and I have nothing but praise for Helga.   Her skills and knowledge are outstanding – she is so passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for Mike following his ischemic stroke, which has left the entire right side of his body paralysed.  Being discharged from hospital following his stroke, it was some months before Mike could get NHS physiotherapy and so after that finished we had to make a decision about getting Mike additional help.  We are so glad that we chose MOTIONrehab.

We did not know what to expect in terms of Mike’s recovery particularly as he suffered a major stroke and we anticipated that he would have limited rehabilitation potential.   Helga has given Mike a quality of life and a future we could not have imagined.  He has made great progress with his mobility and is positive about his outlook whilst being realistic about where he is.   I also find that Helga is not only aware of Mike’s physical state but is also in tune with how it affects his mood.  I can tell when speaking to Mike after his sessions that not only does he feel that little bit stronger but also more mentally positive.  I would like to thank Helga for her compassion, dedication and enthusiasm throughout the year.

Having had a stroke 4 years ago I still had a problem with my right arm. Then I met Helga from MOTIONrehab and with her expert neuro physiotherapy knowledge things have improved significantly. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in late 2017 and pretty much since then have been working with and benefitting enormously from Helga and MOTIONrehab.

Helga is very skilled, has a great deal of knowledge and the gift of lightly but firmly controlling each and every weekly session, almost always introducing some new exercise or skill development whilst not forgetting to check up on progress made in older exercises. She has been generous in lending me equipment until I was able to decide what I needed to buy and is ingenious in adapting exercises to stave off deterioration in my physical condition. Helga has a light but serious touch and is very adept at encouraging progress and addressing issues with gentle encouragement and good humor.  She is easy to talk to, generous by nature, very hard working, flexible in her approach and clearly devoted to her job.  My wife and I are both immensely grateful to her.

Sessions usually start with strengthening exercises using weights, move on to coordination and balance, then stretching. Helga also strongly encourages daily exercise between our sessions and is always ready to explain the reasons for a particular requirement.

After Covid-19 infection, I was left very weak and with mobility issues. Charlotte got me back to my normal walking gait in a week and able to run in four weeks!

Charlotte always listened with empathy and kindness. Charlotte worked with infectious positivity, creating targeted interventions that were specific to my needs whilst also addressing anxieties I’d shared with her. Charlotte worked with me as if we were a team; valuing my thoughts and ideas and working in the direction I felt was important to me. Charlotte’s enthusiasm, confidence in the approaches and sense of fun, empowered me to work effectively at my recovery. Charlotte’s confidence became my confidence and this enabled me to visualise and work towards a successful rehabilitation from the effects of Covid-19.

My son has been a client at MOTIONrehab Hull for the the last 8years (mostly accessing it 3 times a week) after suffering a massive cerebral haemorrhage which left him both physically and neurologically disabled.
 
During this time at MOTIONrehab he has improved both physically and mentally. All the staff there are really nice and friendly and very accommodating.
 
We chose MOTIONrehab as being most appropriate for our son as they are Neurological Physiotherapists as opposed to sports injury physiotherapists.

Andy attended MOTIONrehab’s Intensive Neurological Rehabilitation Programme in Leeds

For 17 years I have only been able to walk with shoes on and the aid of a full-length support on my left leg to help correct my drop foot and hyper-extending knee and the use of two walking stick to maintain my balance. Two years ago I was given the opportunity to improve my muscle strength by using a system of electrical muscle stimulation. The system was set up by Tom at MOTIONrehab®. After regular use and some adjustments along the way I actually took a few steps last week, wearing shoes and using the sticks, but without the stimulation or any support on my leg. Amazing! I know I am a very long way from being able to walk any distance without support but thanks to Tom at MOTIONrehab® the glimmer of hope is now shining a little brighter. I would advise anyone who gets a chance to improve their situation to grab it with both hands because little miracles do still happen!

Without your knowledge and treatment I would not be able to do the things I am now – I have been away this weekend after nearly a six year break, back trialling (which involves bouncing around in a car being driven up muddy hills) in the picturesque Peak District. Very enjoyable and I am looking forward to doing more of the same.

A lovely message received from a case managed client following a poly trauma, including a head injury. MOTIONrehab worked jointly with a large MDT including case manager, OT, dietician and a psychologist.

“My husband had a severe stroke in July quickly followed by pneumonia.He was judged to be not suitable for rehabilitation. He was fully dependent and  totally peg fed. He was discharged to a nursing home in October. Tom McGregor started rehab physio with him in late October.  His progress has been remarkable.  Working with Tom at MOTIONrehab and Speech and Language company Glossa he resumed normal food after about 6 weeks which combined with the physio has enabled him to rejoin mainstream healthcare. He is returning home next week with a very different outlook than before. Tom will continue working with him  and I now have every expectation of his resuming a happier satisfactory life.”

I was referred to MOTIONrehab® earlier in the year, and for the first visit Rachel (Watkins) assessed me at home, to be followed up by sessions at the practice in York. I have been attending there ever since.

I find Rachel to be extremely professional and efficient, yet sympathetic and approachable. She has a lovely manner, and I trust her completely. We have developed a sound relationship, and the treatment I’ve received has helped me greatly.

Helga was fantastic working with Dawn.  After a very serious accident (TBI, broken pelvis, elbow ossification, ankle instability) and months in hospital, Dawn could hardly get around without significant assistance.  Helga started working with Dawn at the Daniel Yorath House, and due to the fantastic progress she made there, we continued a weekly session with Helga after Dawn returned home.

To say that Dawn’s physical mobility has improved over the past several months would be an understatement.  Her strength, balance, and coordination have all progressed dramatically.  She can now navigate stairs without difficulty, work through exercise routines on her own, and she goes out for mile-long walks twice a day.  There is still room for improvement, but Helga has helped Dawn build a strong and solid foundation to work from.  Dawn’s physical abilities now, along with greater confidence and self-motivation, are testaments to Helga’s professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for Dawn’s improvement.Working with Helga and MOTIONrehab has been one of the best things for Dawn’s recovery following the accident.

Unfortunately we’re relocating overseas soon and won’t be able to take Helga with us, but I am truly appreciative and grateful that the time we’ve had with Helga up to now has been during a very important time of Dawn’s recovery.

Malcolm has been going to MOTIONrehab for over three months now and we have found the facilities incredible. More than that the staff in every department, from admin to finance, OT to physio have all been skilled, friendly and supportive. It’s a truly wonderful atmosphere with people enjoying the hard work they are doing to make progress. The hard work of all the staff in ensuring that everyone gets the best from the skills of the staff and the state of the art equipment is always evident. The physios and OT staff are also really good at working to individual goals and working alongside other rehab professionals that are involved.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone at MOTIONrehab, the week I had with you guys has been so informative and essential to my neuro journey. Every member of staff was so kind, helpful and great humour, Beth was so welcoming and helpful. The relaxed atmosphere and the acceptance put any nerves at ease instantly, the week felt like I was in a tiring but safe bubble!

I would like to especially thank Savannah and Charlotte, both had the job of explaining not great news to me but I felt so very supported and listened to and that were really invested in me and getting me the correct diagnosis, I’m so thankful for their knowledge and courage to tell me.

Emma has Down Syndrome and Autism. She has been attending physiotherapy to increase her abdominal strength, improve her posture and general fitness. Emma enjoyed using her birthday balloon as part of her physiotherapy session today!

Mum says that Emma, with physiotherapy, is now far more aware of her body, and is feeling fitter and stronger.
Also, mum is now more aware of how to improve Emma’s posture, and the importance of core stability and working the ‘correct muscles’.

I enjoyed my time at MOTIONrehab in July and I feel that I have benefitted specifically from the LYRA – I think my gait has improved and I have been practising walking outdoors without my stick. I also appreciated the opportunity to use the AMADEO and see that there is some movement in my fingers, however minimal and I have hope for something to work with.

I would like to say a sincere thank you to physio Tom. My partner Gareth is a young man with a severe brain injury. Gareth came home in October 2021 and has since been having weekly home visits from Tom. Gareth has a large home care package. There are times we have felt out of our depth as there aren’t many people around us with brain injury experience. Tom has felt like a light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Tom has helped get Gareth from tolerating just 2-3 hours in his wheelchair a day, to a hopeful young man that stands daily, practices sitting balance and is now regaining slight movement in his left side.

Tom is great at adapting his approach based on who he is speaking to. He instinctually know how to influence the people around Gareth to help him reach his potential. He is professional, knowledgeable and approachable. When Tom walks through the door I feel relief. He has been a physio, a teacher and a shoulder to lean on and offload.

We were given a negative outlook when we left the previous rehab, but MOTIONrehab helped us see the possible, when all everyone else spoke about was how things seemed impossible. Everyone needs a physio like Tom. When asked to add something, Gareth summarises perfectly – “Tom you’re a good guy”.

I will never forget that day at Daniel Yorath house when I met Charlotte Bamber f for my assessment who was aware of the lifestyle and background I had left behind after suffering my stroke, so to hear you say those words filled me with immense confidence and the realisation that  all was not lost and now writing this I sit here ( in good posture I add!) literally only a matter of hours  before I  return back home  now capable of walking independently, ascend and descend stairs, all a result of your commitment, expertise and hard work, albeit-at times remarkably  painful.  I still don’t believe when administering treatment you are advised to smile/ snigger as it helps reduce the pain ha ha ? Anyway true to your word with set  goals Improvements and progress started  to come thick and fast  culminating in the sponsored walk at Roundhay which was  a remarkable feat – given my transfers were still made by hoist only  a few weeks prior to completing the walk. It was  a pleasure and very fitting I felt to have you alongside me.  I thank you for that and more so for the encouragement and guidance throughout  the whole of my rehabilitation right up to the present day as  I return to  the community. Charlotte thank you so much. On reflection I feel extremely fortunate to have been under your care for treatment during my rehabilitation, I cannot thank you enough. Having arranged to continue my treatment  and rehab with MOTIONrehab®’s Leeds based team, I shall look forward to continuing my progress.  Thhank you Charlotte, here’s to The Open 2020! I have been to MOTIONrehab twice so far, first for five weeks and then for a further top up week. Every single member of the team is incredible, the physios, occupational therapists, the receptionists and the management. My expectations were managed perfectly, as the extent of my disabilities is severe due to a serious brain injury, but I did see improvement and continue to work on the programme given to me with my private physio, who has been involved with my treatment. The state of the art equipment is second to none and defines MOTIONrehab from anywhere else.

Out of all the places I’ve been for rehab, this is by far the best. It has such a nice community feeling.

It was fantastic to see him at Physio with Libby and I was amazed at this side of him. Bearing in mind we were talking about wheelchairs when we first met, the progress was evident and so great to see.

After suffering a stroke in December 2017, I was left unable to use or feel my right hand side. Even after weeks in hospital and physiotherapy which helped me gain all of my mobility back, I still had areas which I was struggling in. Before I went to my first MOTIONrehab session, I felt very weak on my right side and had a large amount of numbness in my right arm and hand. I was also walking with a stick, and had little confidence after my stroke. After just a couple of sessions, I no longer felt I needed my stick and had the confidence to walk unaided again – after being helped massively with my balance through the exercises provided and also the technology. I was also recommended different techniques to improve the numbness in my right arm and feel that these have made a difference too. Before, I couldn’t have even left the house alone and struggled walking down the street, whereas now I have much more independence and can even walk to the shops alone – something I worried I might never have the confidence to do again!

After being discharged from hospital due to a stroke, I contacted MOTIONrehab after a recommendation from a friend. Neurological Physiotherapist Tom McGregor came to my home and we began work on both my walking and left arm. Both of which were virtual paralysed. One month later I was walking without a limp and had restored full movement and feeling in my arm.

I can’t praise this service to much. It was excellent, excellent, excellent. The attention to the detail on specific areas and exercise I undertook quickly produced results. I never though it would be this quick.   

I just wanted to drop you a line to say a massive thank you to you & your team for hosting Jack’s work experience earlier this month.

He thoroughly enjoyed the week & told us that his highlight was seeing someone walk for the first time since they had been in a car accident & how happy that had made him feel.

I can highly recommend Motion Rehab for elderly people with Parkinson’s Disease, the exercise regimes are individual tailored and made an enormous contribution to both the physical health and the well-being of two family members.  The staff  were tremendous – supportive, caring, courteous and highly professional, and they made the exercises fun.

My son Craig suffered a horrific brain injury; everyone barring his family had given up on him. The only input he had was from myself and his siblings which was a physical and emotional struggle but worth it. Then along came Sarah and her colleague Jessica, a shear breath of fresh air! They showed immense care and compassion not only towards my son but towards all the family, giving us all some self-worth back. They helped rebuild a family who was struggling both physically and emotionally as things were getting out of control. We were becoming lost.

On first meeting with Sarah, I was astonished by her professionalism, passion and the intensity of her treatments. She treated Craig from the beginning as a whole person, not just a complaint, and involved our whole family. Sarah not only improved my son physically through the intense physiotherapy they improved both his and our moral. He was always smiling when she came and left.

Before Sarah and her colleagues came to work with Craig we didn’t know where to turn too, she guided us and supported us to different assistance in and outside our area, even continuing that support away from home. She gave us guidance on charities that would eventually help us purchase special equipment, helped us contact rehabilitation centres, guided us through legal and financial turmoil.

We as a family will never be able to thank them enough.

Without the love, care, support and guidance we all received from Sarah and her colleagues I know my son wouldn’t have progressed from unresponsive to responsive. I also know our family wouldn’t have survived as we did through what was a tremendously difficult time.

I have MS and I had several physios via the NHS in 4 – 6-week slots, some of whom were great and some of whom were more into talking about which exercises to do, rather than doing them with me to ensure I was doing them correctly. Jess was a breath of fresh air she explains how the nerves and muscles work in my body and she isolates and targets areas which I need to work on to progress. Jess makes sure I am doing the exercises correctly and although she is always really supportive, she doesn’t let me get away with bad habits or less effort than she knows I can manage ! Jess is extremely knowledgeable and we discuss MS articles we have read, diet and general well being. I trust her completely and we have an excellent relationship. At the end of each session, I know if progress is continuing, I know what to focus on going forward and I feel recharged!

The skill and knowledge of the therapists at MOTIONrehab is second to none, and the empathy and care with which they treat their patients cannot be taught. This team is a true gem in the world of neuro rehabilitation, and it is always a pleasure to work jointly with them ensuring their clients receive the highest standards of care possible. I just wanted to say thank you for your letter and for the work that you and Clare did with my Dad since his hospital stay.

With your help, my sister and I both feel that our Dad has shown a great improvement that we did not think was possible by this stage. The results of his improvement have vastly enhanced his quality of life and wellbeing and given my sister and I some comfort.

We have taken your letter to Dad’s GP and as a result we have been promised help by the council’s Mental Health/Psychiatry team.

I just wanted to follow up with a thank you for my FES device.

I came to see you last week to have a device fitted to improve my foot drop.  Within a week it feels as if I can walk faster and with more confidence of not falling as much as a result of the device.  It was very strange to begin with, seeing your foot moving on its own accord (!), but after some time I am more used to it.  You also managed to tweak the settings to help support my hyperextending knee as well which is very helpful.  I think this has overall improved my walking gait.

There is a long way to go for me to fully recover a normal walking pattern, and lots of strength to build back up but it’s certainly a good start!  I look forward to what might happen next!

“After my 1 year old daughter suffered a spinal cord injury, it was neurological rehabilitation that she required. We decided to book an appointment with Jess who was highly recommended through a friend, who’s daughter had been receiving treatment for the same injury as my daughter. My daughter has now been seen by Jess almost every week since August 2020 and the change from then to now is remarkable. Each and every session, Jess puts in 110% and caters to her every need. As you can imagine, trying to make a 2 year old do 30-45 mins of physio every week is no easy task but Jess goes that extra mile to make it fun, enjoyable but also beneficial. Jess has a wealth of neurological physio knowledge and you really can see that in her treatment style. Rachel is an extremely professional and knowledgeable practitioner, Rachel understands the challenges faced by people with MS. She has designed and implemented a programme addressing my main and peripheral symptoms which are producing positive results. She explains everything we do and why we are doing it. Rachel makes our sessions challenging and fun and I think she is brilliant!

I have MS and my mobility is impaired by dropped foot. I searched the internet and neurological therapies provided by MOTIONrehab® appeared to address my needs. For the past 32 years I have suffered with, often debilitating pain in my right hip and lower back. I more recently was referred to Tom McGregor  through my Bupa insurance for pins and needles in my hand from a neck injury. Tom not only treated me for the pins and needles but spent time to understand my long term condition. Tom used a series of manipulation a massage to free from pain in both my hand (pins&needles) and hip. After spending thousands on massage, consultants and drugs Tom was able to diagnose and treat me over an 8 week program. I followed his instructions to the letter and I am still doing the exercises he set me. Tom is passionate about his work and he knows how to listen. Thank you for changing my life.

We would like to share with you Pete’s experience of working with Helga and the amazing improvements he has made since working with her.  

We cannot recommend Helga Machado highly enough.  She is a professional and highly skilled physiotherapist specialising in neuro rehab.  Following a severe brain haemorrhage and stroke my husband has worked with Helga for over a near now and the improvements he has made with his mobility are astounding.  Due to Helga’s dedication and knowledge his walking gait is nearing normal, his balance strength and speed has dramatically improved and he no longer uses compensatory movements. 

He is now able to walk much further distances, over rough terrain which was almost impossible for him to do before he started working with Helga.  We cannot thank her enough for all her hard work.

Following a massive stroke 11 years ago I was left with very limited mobility. 
After leaving hospital I was allocated 6 weekly sessions of physiotherapy. I was told to expect the most improvement within the first 6 months following my stroke and then any improvement, if any, would be very limited. My wife persuaded my doctor that a further block of physiotherapy would be beneficial and eventually I was allowed a further 2 blocks of 6 week sessions. I was then informed that I had reached a plateau. I tried to do the exercises I had been given, but I found it difficult to get myself motivated.
After seeing an article about the Saebo hand my wife contacted Sarah who over the last 8 years has helped me to achieve so many things that never thought possible. Sarah gives me so much confidence and is such an amazingly positive ‘can do’ person. Thank you Sarah for all the help and encouragement that you continue to give me. 

Thank you so much for your wonderful care and treatment during my therapy sessions. The stretching maneuvers you taught me worked wonders to gradually restore my physical well-being. I wish I could have met Charlotte Foxton 50years ago. With her guidance, in a very short space of time I have managed to walk 18 holes around a golf course, something I have not been able to do for well over 6 years. I am ecstatic with what I have achieved with physiotherapy. 

Charlotte Foxton is a fantastic neurological physiotherapist. She is professional, friendly and proactive in her approach to her work. She has been working with our daughter over the last 2 years and has provided her with a full range of exercises, interventions and strategies for coping with her physical needs. Charlotte is easy to talk to, creative in her approach to physiotherapy and has a wonderful rapport with our daughter.

Our time at MOTIONrehab was really good for Roberta.  It wasn’t only the physio and occupational therapy treatment itself but also the general approach and the way that we were treated. Until then Roberta had always been a ‘patient’ and at MOTIONrehab she felt like a client.  This helped her immensely and was a great stepping stone towards a more normal life. Your colleagues were also really welcoming to me and happy to talk and share their thoughts, discoveries and recommendations.  In Italy the approach has almost always been to take Roberta away behind closed doors for treatment and, whilst I am sure she is receiving good treatment, it’s very difficult to have a dialogue with those therapists to see what is happening, understand their approach and plan, and for them to hear from me on how Roberta is outside of the therapy sessions.  I also really liked the teamwork approach that the staff have there.  They were always working together in the best interests of the clients. 

Working with Tom McGregor and the team at Motion Rehab is always very rewarding. They offer effective, goal-based rehabilitation which focuses on the client’s unique circumstances. This sometimes means treatment is clinic & gym based, and sometimes out in the community walking or trying different sports to challenge the client and return them to activities they have previously enjoyed. It is this flexibility and the close attention to specific client needs and difficulties which brings me back to Motion Rehab when I have new referrals. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I have completed the four week intensive course at Motion Rehab. In the final week they had me up on my feet everyday, taking a few steps with a pulpit walker and on the final day I completed a full circuit of the gym.This was a first!

My Mum who is 95 years old and severely sight impaired recently broke her hip and required help to get back on her feet. Tom was a godsend he worked with her for around  six weeks to the point where she was more mobile, had better posture and more confidence in walking than before the accident. Tom was kind and respectful and literally helped Mum step by step to achieve her targets. He also gave her guidance on how to arrange her living accommodation to maximise her mobility. What was particularly impressive was that he took into account Mum’s sight loss and described each step fully. Tom worked his magic, putting Mum at her ease and before she knew it she had done more than she had thought possible. We cannot recommend Tom highly enough.

I suffered a stroke in March 2016 which has left me with weakness down my left-hand side. When I left the hospital in June 2016, I was very unsteady on my feet, could not walk and experienced a couple of falls. However, in June 2017 because of the skill and empathetic approach of my physiotherapist Jess Noble, I am confident on my feet and walking again albeit with the use of a stick. Jess has set me realistic and practical goals and restored my confidence in what I can physically achieve. Moreover, in addition to her technical skills as a physiotherapist, she is very sensitive to the needs of patients whose lives have effectively been turned upside down.

I have used MOTIONrehab®’s Sarah Daniel to provide expert reports for complex brain and spinal cases where there has been a need for neuro-physiotherapy. Since your last visit and having reset the electrode pads I have used the device everyday to walk with during my daily walking exercise routine, these sessions are usually 45 minutes each 4 times during every day. The routine has made a vast difference to the cast and flexibility of my ankle to foot. Instead of struggling walking on the outside of my foot The device positions my foot so that I walk with the flat of the foot and ball of the foot. I also use the exercise function on the device during evenings this supplements the daily walking exercise. The device has made a vast difference in my recovery and ambition to regain independent walking ability. My progress has also been monitored by Laura yesterday and she has passed positive comment on my improved stride and foot positioning, as well as my confidence and standing stance. Many thanks for your perseverance and positive approach over the months since you first assessed me back in March this year, for me personally the device has been a boost to my confidence and physical rehabilitation

We found MOTIONrehab based in York over a year ago for our 8-year-old son Thomas who has Mitochondrial Disease and had lost his ability to walk the previous year. 

He is seen for 1-hour fortnightly. The additional physio has had a significant positive effect Thomas’s mobility. He now has more control over his movements and transitions. He is more confident in his mobility. He has surpassed targets with his improvements. He is now more self-supported. His physio has found many fun ways to undertake his stretches and exercises, so he fully engages for the whole session. 

Thank you, I now have a much better understanding of my condition. To meet Rachel who dealt with me as a person and addressed all my symptoms was such a positive experience! l really can’t thank you all enough for the beneficial effects you have had on my wellbeing. Rachel has explained why I feel dizzy all the time, I have appropriate exercises which are proving more effective than the ones I was doing. The two visits have resulted in a positive beneficial change to my health, thank you again.
