Tom McGregor to join England PDRL squad
MOTIONrehab is delighted to announce that Tom McGregor, our Hull Clinic Manager, has been selected to support the England Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) team at the upcoming Rugby League World Cup in Australia.
Tom, a specialist neurophysiotherapist, will travel with the PDRL England Community Lions and work alongside the squad throughout the tournament. He will support the athletes through training, match days and recovery, and the team hopes to reach the final on 8 November.
England arrive in Australia as defending champions. The Community Lions won the first-ever PDRL World Cup in 2022, beating New Zealand 42-10 in the final at Warrington, and they have kept up their strong form since.
Tom said:
“It is a great honour to be able to combine my skills as a neurophysio with my love of rugby and support a really special bunch of athletes in their quest on the other side of the world. Physical disability rugby is a great game and to be able to support our national team on the biggest of world stages is humbling and one of the highlights of my career.”

Support the Road to Australia
The squad’s journey to the World Cup is being backed by a community fundraising campaign to help the team make history once again. If you’d like to get behind the Community Lions, you can donate to the Road to Australia fundraiser here.
Everyone at MOTIONrehab is incredibly proud of Tom and wishes him and the whole squad the very best of luck. Our Hull team will be cheering them on from home, and we’ll share updates on how the tournament goes.
