Clare Stenton
Clinical Lead & Neurological Physiotherapist
Clare Stenton graduated in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy and gained exceptional experience working for Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust, which included adult and paediatric neurological rehabilitation and complex disabilities.
She has gained significant experience working in private practice treating a wide range of neurological conditions such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Spinal Cord Injuries. Clare uses a variety of treatment approaches to achieve patients’ goals; this includes hands-on therapy (advanced Bobath practitioner), Pilates based and functional exercise programmes.
Clare is passionate about health and fitness both in her practice and personal life. She practises pilates, which drove her to complete post-graduate study with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) and instructs classes for both neurological and non-neurological conditions. Participant’s new to exercise benefit from Clare’s supportive and caring approach, while those looking for an exercise “task master” may also have met their match!
As a previous competitive swimmer, Clare understands the huge benefits of movement in the water. She enjoys using the properties of the water to help patients achieve their exercise goals. With Clare’s guidance patients can achieve things they never thought possible on land in the safety and warmth of the water.
Clare has additional experience of working with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and several medico-legal clients providing training for support staff, therapy reports, and recommendations as required.
