Katie Sutton

Neurological Physiotherapist

Katie qualified from University of the West of England in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy and began her career within the NHS as a junior therapist completing her core rotations. Katie specialised in Neurology in 2007 and quickly took a keen interest in Acquired Brain Injury and stroke. She has worked across all the different stages of rehabilitation including acute and community settings.

Katie has a special interest in normal movement and postural control. She has spent the last 6 years developing her clinical reasoning and analytical skills to be able to help clients develop efficient movements that they can use in everyday function. Katie also has a keen interest in vestibular rehabilitation and has worked closely with the wider MDT including ophthalmologist in order to provide bespoke treatment plans for patients. She is also experienced in aquatic therapy/hydrotherapy and alongside providing water based exercise regimes she is passionate about linking the gains that can be made in the pool to the clients land based goals.

Katie works very closely with Case Managers and the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure rehabilitation programmes are devised, goal orientated and provide the best client experience. She is passionate about team working and the client centred approach
