Kathryn Oddy
Neurological Physiotherapist
Kathryn Oddy qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1987 from the Middlesex Hospital School of Physiotherapy, London. She has gained her wide ranging experience in the NHS, charitable and private sector working in hospital, clinic, sports centre, residential/nursing home, and private home settings. She has developed an interest in a variety of approaches to movement and exercise for rehabilitation including Pilates, Tai Chi, hydrotherapy, sports specific rehabilitation and functional fitness for the older adult. Kathryn has applied these principles in the treatment of clients with Acquired/Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, rehab needs post orthopaedic surgery, Whiplash Associated Disorder, spinal dysfunction, and sports injuires.
Kathryn has undertaken post graduate training in hydrotherapy (now known as aquatic therapy), Pilates, Tai Chi, Bobath, Orthopaedic medicine, acupuncture, whiplash associated disorders, functional fitness of the older adult, sports injuries and fitness for golf, and approaches to treatment for spinal pain. Kathryn links assessment to patient reported problems and functional goals then tailors treatments to each individual client according to their needs.
Kathryn is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology, Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, and Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Kathryn is based at our MOTIONrehab® York clinic.
