Kathryn Burns

Neurological Physiotherapist

Kathryn Qualified from York St Johns University with a BSc (Hons) in 2007. She started her career working in the NHS at York District Hospital completing her junior rotations and then senior rotations within neurology including, pediatrics, adult learning difficulties, Stroke and Outpatients. Following this she moved to Kent and took on a senior role at the East Kent Regional Neuro Rehab unit. This role gave a broad range experience across a variety of neuro conditions. Due to the complex nature of the clients admitted to this specialist unit Kathryn developed further skills in the areas of spasticity management, splinting, hydrotherapy and postural management. Since her return back to Yorkshire Kathryn has worked in a variety of private neuro rehab settings before setting up her own Neuro outpatient business in 2016. Kathryn has now brought her expertise to MOTIONrehab to support clients in York and the surrounding area.

She continues to see a wide range of clinical conditions but her special interests include Stroke Rehabilitation, brain injury rehabilitation and spasticity management.
