MOTIONrehab received the exciting news yesterday that our new Tyromotion devices are on their way!!
The clinic in Hull will open following the incredible success of MOTIONrehab’s award winning Intensive Robotic Neurological Rehabilitation centre based in Leeds which was the UK’s first highly Intensive Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation facility augmented by Robotics, Motion-Sensor and Virtual Reality devices.
The new centre will include a significant expansion of their current clinic in Hull based at Warner Health Club. The new robotics technology suite will include a range of upper and lower limb robotics and virtual reality Tyromotion devices. Both MOTIONrehab centres will remain the only locations within UK with all of these particular devices to enable clients to accelerate their outcomes from rehabilitation.
The concept offers patients specialist one to one hands-on therapy from experienced and highly skilled clinicians. Uniquely, MOTIONrehab clients also spend time training with the evidence-based robotic, motion-sensor and virtual reality devices individually and in groups. This allows patients to practice the high number of repetitions of movements which is critical to neuroplasticity and achieving better outcomes faster than traditional hands-on therapy alone.
MOTIONrehab’s Clinical Director and Business Owner, Sarah Daniel says
“Evidence tells us that patients need to do a high number of repetitions and lots of practice in a dynamic environment to help achieve their rehabilitation goals quicker. This was the vision for MOTIONrehab’s first clinic and what we have seen is the vision really works. The more our patients do the quicker they get better and the more satisfying our jobs are. It might be the smallest of things, suddenly they can stand up for the first time, they can open their fingers for the first time, but when that leads into being able to eat and drink on their own, being able to go back to their own home or even managing to go to the toilet on their own. Those are huge wins from tiny little steps of rehab to get them there.
Seeing that the vision really works has led to MOTIONrehab’s investment in a second robotic technology suite in Hull. The team and I are really excited to expand our services to reach more people with neurological illness and injuries to help them reach their potential.”
Manuel Landeira-Marino, Tyromotion says
“Tyromotion are delighted to be working with the MOTIONrehab team to open their second centre. MOTIONrehab are leading the way in outpatient rehabilitation and have demonstrated their concept of robotic rehabilitation works to help patients get better every day! Their vision and determination are admired in the industry and we look forwards to future projects together!”
